finally i can stop worrying about all the spec ops turkeys noticing me at 600 yards whilst i spy,what a relief. the joke being who actually needs something like this and doesn't already own their own custom version of it? sniper teams are super uppity and in depth with that junk, if they thought it'd help to dress up the spotting scope, best bet they'll do it, they obsess over the fine points of camouflage like nobodies business.

I have an old duck hunting belt that fits around your waist … like a belt lol. That holds 20 or 25 rounds (I’d have to go look). But the bottom is sewn shut so no falling thru . Worked good in the woods hunting . Keep it stored by my shotgun now . Just my 0.2 cents worth .

Use good, high quality clp that does not crud up. If your clp is crudding up, especially in a pistol, you are using the wrong stuff. The right stuff continues to stay wet and keep cleaning and with regular cleaning will not cause a striker problem.

I'm not a gun expert, but every video I have watched on this subject has said that two stage is for precision and single stage is for fighting or qcb. Well, everybody said to use what you're most comfortable with. I think I'll just stick with that, LOL.

The 7.62 x39 is a step under .30-30 . This becomes more easioy apparent when putting a 150 grain bullet into the 7.62. you get about 2000 fps from a 20 inch barrel while the .30-30 is giving 2150-2200 ish from a 20 inch barrel. More from the 165 grain lever evolution load. The .30-30 uses a slightly slimmer bullet ,true 7.62/.308 groove to groove diameter vs. .310-.311 groove to groove on the x39mm. (The bullets actually use an expanding base bullet and swell to seal the bore upon firing, as loaded theyvare typically .309-.310. the ruger mini 30 and i beleive all ruger .762x39 rifles has a conical bore that swages the bullet down to .308 , so there are exceptions). The .300 blk is another step down despite comparisons being made. If you want an intermediate cartidge that does compare to .30-30 , the .338 spectre loaded with the 180 grain nosler accubond tipped get about 1950 fps from a 16 inch barrel. that just slightly surpasses the standard .30-30 170 grain load in a 16 inch barrel.

I will withhold judgment on this device until I can see additional evaluations….or get the chance to use one myself. The elastic shellholders are just plain crap. We run the solid mounted hard plastic side-saddles on all duty guns with zero issues. While I have seen them broken from vehicle wrecks and other such catastrophic events, I would be hard pressed to tell you when one ever failed from extended use. And, while they are primarily configured for simply keeping the shotgun “topped off” during an engagement, orienting all of the shells “base-up” sets it up to do direct to port loading of all those shells. So, while I always opt to have more ammo on-board, I’ll not be spending money on this till I have more information. 🫡
